4Liberty played a crucial role for a California VA Hospital’s RTLS (Real Time Location System) Project. With this project, the VA desired to install a patient tracking and geo-fencing system that would enhance patient safety. Technology infrastructure for the Real Time Location System had to be perfect and had to be installed in an active clinical setting.
4Liberty’s role in the VA Program included comprehensive project management, network cabling installation, sensing device installation, MDF/IDF (main and independent distribution frames) design and installation, asset tagging and management, logical and physical system configuration, all while respecting the clinical work happening around the project. 4Liberty managed all subcontractor activities to provide the VA a single point of contact for status. Due to the project’s critical nature, 4Liberty provided a comprehensive QA process to ensure proper functioning and system integrity.
With 4Liberty’s expert assistance, infrastructure and hundreds of devices were installed and connected across multiple buildings and floors, on time and within budget. With this technology infrastructure in place, the VA client was able to track and protect their patients as intended.
